THE magic of the annual Starlight Classics Concert on the historic Vergelegen Wine Farm in Somerset West, can be experienced on Friday 20 March at 19:30 and Saturday 21 March at 19:00 with the Cape Philharmonic Orchestra.
The artists for this year’s outdoor concert include one of the most popular South African artists, Johnny Clegg, well known for his distinctive style and sound resulting from mixing Zulu and English lyrics.

The talented son of a talented father, Jesse Clegg will be at the Nelson Mandela Theatre for three nights only, from 12 to 14 May.

Expect songs from Jesse's hit album, When I Wake Up, as well as some new material from his CD released in October 2008.
Clegg's first single, Today, was welcomed well by the public. Within a week of its release it topped the Highveld Homebrew charts. It also got loads of airplay on other radio stations across the country.

Although Mawazine is already one of Morocco's most important festivals, the goal this year is to make it even bigger, both nationally and internationally.
"Mawazine’s artistic and cultural diversity is this event’s prime calling, namely opening up to the music and cultures of countries all over the world," Aziz Seghrouchni, the festival’s deputy chairman, said in a news conference last Wednesday in Rabat. "It is a source of cultural riches and it is able to break away from the idea of a single or dominant cultural model."
Australian Kylie Minogue will get the party started.
Also on the performers list are white Zulu Johnny Clegg, Italian Ennio Morricone, American Alicia Keys, the group Ska Cubano and guitarist Eliades Ochoa – both from Cuba – Brazilian Sergio Mendes, and Americans Solomon Burke and The Neville Brothers.
Other performers include Algeria's legendary singer, Warda Al Jazairia, Iraq’s Kazem Al Saher, UAE’s Hussein El Jasmi, Lebanon’s Najwa Karam, Algerian Rai singer Cheb Khaled, and Tunisia’s Lotfi Bouchnak.

Opening act (Australia): Wouter Kellerman – Flautist

Musician Wouter Kellerman is widely considered to be South Africa’s foremost flautist. His album Colour debuted to rave reviews at home and topped the classical music charts, and has been nominated for a 2009 South African Music Award for Best Instrumental Album.
Kellerman is taking his crossover world music to a global audience, having gained a solid following in South Africa. He has already released the album in Germany, Austria and Switzerland, with offers pending from the USA.
To coincide with his support slot on Johnny Clegg’s Down Under tour, during which he will also perform solo shows, Kellerman is due to release this acclaimed album in Australia, where his music videos have already been playlisted. The album was mixed in Los Angeles by Grammy-winning Husky Hoskulds, who has worked with the likes of Norah Jones and Sheryl Crow.
Inspired by styles and cultures drawn from South Africa and around the world, Colour is a musical journey through African, Latin, jazz and Celtic sounds, with classical inflections. Australian audiences can prepare to experience an exciting fusion of musical elements and influences emanating from Kellerman’s flute.
Kellerman started playing the flute at the age of 10, and in 1981 appeared as a soloist with the Johannesburg Symphony Orchestra. He went on to feature in several South African orchestras, scooping musical accolades along the way. Among these was winning the Perrenoud Foundation Prize during the 1997 Vienna International Music Competition.
Using his classical training as a foundation, Kellerman has recently focused his attention on world music, exploring the versatility of the instrument and fusing classical and contemporary sounds, resulting in a potent and thrilling musical encounter.
He has performed on four continents in the last two years and has worked with artists such as JB Arthur, Mauritz Lotz, Nianell, Chris Chameleon and David Matamela. His flute can be heard on the soundtrack of the Emmy Award-winning film Eye of the Leopard.

Ever since picking up a guitar at the age of 15 in his home town of Christchurch, New Zealand, Nathan King has had a passion and a gift for writing great songs. We’re not talking about just any “get-your-name-on-the-radio, one-hit-wonder” kind of songs, but crafted anthems, feel-good summer soundtracks, down-to-earth melodies that ooze a certain something that makes one want to fall in love – or maybe even break up.

Only five years after strumming that first chord, King found his songs and his exceptional voice at the heart of multi-platinum, award-winning success as his pop-rock band Zed saw their debut album shoot to number one in New Zealand.
He honed his stagecraft in front of thousands of fans in Australasia, touring with Robbie Williams and Coldplay, and playing alongside the likes of The Calling, Ash and Seal in the USA and Europe – all thanks to those great songs and teenage years devoted to the remarkable music of bands such as U2, Simon & Garfunkel and The Beach Boys.

The Brisbane tickets are on sale (I bought 10 in the front row today at AUD $110. The other price category is about AUD $85.) I haven't checked whether tickets for the other cities are actually on sale yet, although I suspect they are.
Thanks to Andy Innes for the headsup on this. As he says, we have to bear in mind that the dates are still provisional until the touring party's confirmed and the performance contracts are signed.
The JohnnyClegg.com site still says the tour is "postponed" and shows the dates from last November. Andy says they'll have a new site up by the end of the month "which will be better maintained and linked into the Scatterlings Club with merch and a new business method".

Sadly the tickets (for Brisbane at least) not being sold through Ticketmaster means that those of us who kept the tickets we bought for November (because Ticketmaster promised they'd be valid for the shows when they were reshceduled for March) will now have to go and get refunds. And the tickets are a fair bit more expensive than November's.
But on a positive note, the Concert Hall (which is the same venue as for the last tour) is currently closed for refurbishment so should be in good shape in May.

  Clegg was born in London but grew up in South Africa. His songs, mixing Zulu with English lyrics, have made him a household name in South Africa.

  South African superstar Johnny Clegg once did the unthinkable. In 1988, he outsold both Michael Jackson and Madonna combined in France.
  “In 1998 we did an incredible feat. We outsold Michael Jackson and Madonna together,” he tells Undercover News. “I sold 1.3 million albums in 18 months of the first album which was unheard of”.
  In fact, Clegg was so big in France that the French Government knighted him. In 1991, he was awarded the Chevalier des Arts et Lettres (Knight of Arts and Letters).
  Clegg has also received a doctorate in South Africa. “I am a doctor of music and can’t read a note. How does that come about?, he laughs”
  The award was bona-fide though. “It is an award based on the fact that I have been part of creating a whole new musical genre in world music,” he says. “I was part of the early styles in mixing language and music and melody and rhythm and creating a new style of South African music”.

  If you saw `George of the Jungle`, `Rain Man` or a dozen other movies you may have heard the music of Johnny Clegg. His songs have been in a few.
  ‘George of the Jungle’ was a good place for his biggest hit ‘Scatterlings of Africa’. “It was quiet nice,” he tells Undercover News.
  Clegg has become somewhat of a regular on the big screen. “I have had a number of songs,” he says. “‘Cruel Crazy Beautiful World’, ‘Scatterlings Of Africa’, ‘Great Heart’. They have all been in movies. ‘Scatterlings’ was in Rain Man, ‘Cruel Crazy Beautiful World’ appeared in about four B-grade movies at one stage”.
  Watching a movie and hearing the songs is equally strange for the South African superstar. “It is bizarre, it is very bizarre,” he says. “I have had that experience. They always place the songs in the weirdest place”.

  JOHNNY Clegg is a performer with a big voice and a big heart. This concert, at the start of his Australasian tour, was a high-energy event from start to finish, the infectious rhythms of the music enhanced by onstage dancing and a passionate delivery.
  Clegg's musical roots are in the Zulu street music he encountered as a young child in South Africa.
  His early fascination with African music, and subsequent interest in pop and world music, has created an eclectic musical style. Close vocal harmonies and strong, throaty singing are purely African, whereas other songs evoke a crossover feel reminiscent of artists such as Paul Simon and Sting.
  For someone who has been in the game more than 30 years, his voice is still strong and vibrant. Throughout this long set, Clegg's vocals were consistently balanced in the middle of the sound mix, emphasising the instrumental colour and strong rhythmic nature of his music.
  Also a published anthropologist, Clegg is a born story-teller, interspersing his performance with long, detailed explanations of various songs and dances and of events that were seminal in his development, both artistically and as a social commentator.
  Clegg's band is excellent. Dan Shout on keyboards and saxophones made some impressive contributions, especially his sax solos. Drummer Barry van Zyl ensured the feel stayed upbeat all night, and there was strong vocal support from guitarist Andy Innes, bassist Trevor Donjeany and back-up singer Mandisa Dlanga.
  Dancer Sabelo Qoma added a compelling visual aspect, whether dancing alone or with Clegg. This very physical dance component, which included Dlanga at times, provided fascinating reinforcement of the music's cultural origins, especially coupled with Clegg's introductions. Clegg mostly held his own with the much younger, physically lithe Qoma and it is testament to his commitment to the show that he worked so hard on stage.
  A large and enthusiastic crowd lapped up Clegg's hits, Impi, Kilimanjaro and Scatterlings of Africa. It must be said, this was also a very respectful audience.
  In the first set, those who wanted to stand and dance politely moved to the back of the venue so as not to obscure the view of those who remained seated. However, two songs into the second set, Clegg had the whole audience on its feet.
  It's also worth arriving early to hear the support act, brilliant South African crossover flautist Wouter Kellerman.

  South African singer Johnny Clegg is more than just a talented singer-guitarist with a fondness for his own country. The burly bloke in the trademark black singlet is a political activist, a cultural and social historian and an engaging raconteur.
  He started only his second Australian tour in his 30-year career with a sell-out performance at the Riverside Theatre on Thursday night, attended by what seemed to be the entire South African expatriate population of Perth.
  These South African fans were undoubtedly drawn by Clegg’s familiar reputation as an uncompromising, straight-shooting performer with a passionate desire to recreate the culture of African nations on the stage.
  Clegg surrounds himself with top-class musicians, including back-up singer Mandisa Dlanga, who has been with his band for 22 years, and young black dancer Sabelo Qoma.
  But there is no doubt Clegg is the star of the show: he plays guitar, dances zulu warrior dances and sings in a powerful voice reminiscent of Bruce Springsteen.
  There is also a passionate intellectualism about his presentation of his own songs, as he introduces each with a lengthy discourse on such arcane subjects (at least to Australians) as Zulu dances, walking songs, stick fighting, tribal conflicts and perils of life in mining towns.
  Where else will you hear how Zulu street musicians took Western musical instruments and “recontextualised them” for their own culture? Or find an explanation of the meaning of rhythm and time, and how the humble concertina was the perfect instrument for Zulu musicians as they walked from town to town.? Only at a Johnny Clegg concert, it seems.
  Clegg delivers these explanations with a great sense of exuberance, striding the stage with his arms in the air for reinforcement of his views. So it is easy to engage with this passionate man, as the South African audience did with a great deal of excitement.
  People were so enthused by Clegg’s energized explanations that as soon as the band broke into the next song they were up in their seats dancing and waving their arms. At times it was positively evangelical, but in a good way, if you know what I mean.
  Clegg, the son of an English father and a Zimbabwean mother, grew up in South Africa among the Zulus of the streets and shantytowns, learning their culture, especially the dance.
  And it is Clegg’s own interpretive dancing that singles him out as more than just a guitarist and singer. In his first concert in Australia in 2004 he did a burst of dancing at only the end of the show. This time the dance was an integral part of his performance, either partnering the other dancers or demonstrating his own understanding of how Zulu dance is an expression of culture.
  Johnny Clegg really is the sum of all his parts: musician, cultural ambassador, historian and thorough entertainer. No, more than that, he’s an inspiration.

  THE next time they are chasing someone to play Superman, they should try Johnny Clegg. The man's energy and stamina are a wonder, and emerge untainted by any showbiz hollowness. He fronts what is essentially a rock band just being himself, and exuding a natural charm.
  A hero in South Africa, Clegg packed the State Theatre with expats who were slow to grow excited, but by the end were wildly enthusiastic about a show containing many anthems of their younger days. Remove that prism of nostalgia, however, and some of Clegg's song-writing is flimsy: mundane rock songs barely salvaged by credible lyrics, then immeasurably bolstered by his own performance of them. Not only does Clegg have a massive voice of surprising range, he deploys it with an honesty that is indicative of the man as a whole.
  His extravagant 'tween-song stories were often more engaging than his music. These included one about what it felt like being four kilometres underground in South Africa's deepest gold mine, by way of introducing his 1982 tribute to miners, Sky Blue. Jongosi (Young Ox) was preceded by an open-hearted endorsement of the racial quota system in South African sport (which drew some heckles from the crowd). Before Bullets For Bafazana we received a highly entertaining tale of the Zulu warrior for whom it is named, who used to be the band's no-nonsense road manager, and Impi carried a compelling slice of history about the subjugation of the Zulu nation by the British.
  Clegg also delivered thrilling, high-energy Zulu dances with Bafazana's son, Sabelo Qoma, and somehow still had breath to tear back into a song without compromise to his singing.
  His long-term backing singer, Mandisa Dlanga, and bassist, Trevor Donjeany, shone out in a band lacking the suppleness that many of the grooves cried out for. More space in the arrangements of Clegg's songs would increase the drama and impact - something he makes a super-hero's fist of.

  Clegg was such an innovator of the sound that it was soon noticed by artists such as Paul Simon who likewise used his template. Simon developed the massive 'Graceland' album out of the format.

• Bally's Aussie Exploits: "A whole bunch of us went to see Johnny Clegg at Qpac Brisbane last night. It was a great evening, and so nice to "boogie" to home grown music we grew up with. I must admit to a bit of a lump in the throat on the odd occasion. Jan was remembering the times he lectured her at Wits and at least Ian and Emmie got to see some of the cultural heritage from South Africa. The audience was standing and dancing and singing along especially at the oldies like "Scatterlings of Africa" and "Impi".   Iconic South African anti-apartheid activist and “world music” artist Johnny Clegg will be ending off his tour of New Zealand in Auckland on 1 June, following his successful series of concerts here four years ago.
  He will be supported by the very talented, Nathan King.
  Known around the world as “the white Zulu” for his ability to blend Western and African influences in his music, Clegg has built up a devoted cross-cultural, multilingual following both at home and abroad during his more than three decades as a professional musician. Booking details below.
  During his current concert tour, Clegg has been criss-crossing the Antipodes, playing a variety of venues. While expatriate South Africans have flocked to this popular singer-dancer-songwriter’s shows, locals are also encouraged to come along to see what all the fuss is about, . Chances are they won’t be disappointed, as Clegg and his band are well schooled in how to put on a vibrant show, complete with Zulu dancing, pulsating rhythms and infectious melodies.
  Born in the UK in 1953, Clegg and his family settled in SA when he was nine. In his teens, the budding guitarist developed an interest in traditional Zulu music and dance and was frequently arrested for visiting friends in Johannesburg’s black townships. One young man in particular, migrant worker Sipho Mchunu, made a huge impact on Clegg, and the pair ultimately went on to change the face of South African music.
  In apartheid South Africa, a musical alliance and friendship between a black and a white youngster was not only taboo – the country’s repressive race laws all but forbade them from fraternising or performing together. They had to endure racial abuse, threats of violence and police harassment in their quest to use music to break down race barriers.
  Their big break came in 1976 with the release of Woza Friday, and soon the band Juluka – meaning “sweat” – was formed, enjoying great success against the odds. In 1985, Mnchunu returned to rural Zululand to farm, and Clegg formed a new band, Savuka (meaning “we have risen”), which proved especially popular in the Francophone countries. By the late 1980s, Savuka was the biggest selling world music group in the world.
  During the course of his band and solo career, Clegg has chalked up several accolades – including a Grammy nomination and being named a Knight of Arts and Letters by the Government of France – as well as hits such as Asimbonanga, Great Heart, The Crossing, December African Rain, Third World Child, Impi and Scatterlings of Africa.
  He continues to tour extensively, and lends his voice to former President Nelson Mandela’s 46664 HIV and Aids campaign. This pioneering musician is still going strong, and promises to deliver a live show that’s an energetic, invigorating and uplifting experience.

04.07.2009 - Innibos (01.-05.07.2009) - South Africa's fastest growing arts festival (SA)

South Africa's fastest growing arts festival, Innibos, will go green this year under the theme "100% Bosbewus" (bush wise).
Festival organisers will implement a massive recycling project at the festival, which drew 100 000 visitors to Nelspruit and generated R32m for the local economy last year.
When it began in 2004, Innibos drew 25 000 people and generated R8.9m.
"Special rubbish bins for recyclable items such as glass, cans and paper will be seen everywhere on the grounds," said festival marketer Sandra Jacobs on Thursday.
Innibos suppliers, sponsors and supporters will be encouraged to implement their own green projects.
Every effort makes a difference
"No matter how small each participant's contribution is, every effort makes a difference," said Jacobs.
All projects registered will be logged on the Innibos website's green page.
Musicians who are expected to perform at this year's festival, which will run from July 1 to 5, will include Johnny Clegg, Mango Groove, Steve Hofmeyr and Nicholis Louw.
Stage productions will include Samoerai, Die Naaimasjien and Bure op die Bank.
As usual, there will be various art exhibitions. This year's festival artist will be Bettie Cilliers Barnard.

South African musician Johnny Clegg will play one show only on an upcoming visit to Israel - in Jerusalem. Aside from three decades of making music, Clegg - a "secular Jew" who grew up in the UK, Israel, Rhodesia, Zambia and South Africa - is known for his fight against apartheid and his study of anthropology. He is also a dancer, songwriter and French knight. Clegg's songs mix Zulu and English lyrics and African music with Western pop. After the break-up of Juluka, his racially mixed band (the first in South Africa) in 1986, Clegg formed Savuka, another racially mixed band that saw great success in France and was nominated for a Grammy. Clegg then embarked on a solo career. He will perform here on June 18.

• Hi all !
  I went to see J.C. at the festival Peplum d'Alesia (France - Burgundy) last Saturday night.
  It was a vey very great show ! JC was in a great shape, he didn't stopped jumping an dancing ! As usually, he told us in a rather good french the story of his songs. He speaks more and more better !
  I was at the firt place near the gate and I took a lot of pictures (I'm going to put them on the website today) and movies.
  Cameras were forbidden, but French people don't care about what is forbidden !
  When Johnny left the scene, people didn't stopped shouting until he came back several minutes later, and sang 3 other songs. It was a very good atmosphere !
  At the end of the show I asked for the paper with the titles of the songs. I had an autograph from Barry on it.

Bush Fire is a 3-day music and performing arts festival held on an annual basis in Swaziland. Full details, updates on performers and the event schedule can be found on the Bush Fire website.
The festival kicks off on Friday the 31st July with an evening performance. Entrance is included in the Full Festival Pass. If you want a ticket for Friday night only, these can be purchased at the door - no advance sales are available for this particular evening.
Saturday the 1st and Sunday the 2nd August include two full days of performances. Entrance to all performances is included in a Full Festival Pass . Alternatively a One Day Ticket can be purchased be bought separately for Saturday or Sunday only.

• ....I started the month off with a bang by wasting/losing the entirety of my August stipend at the third annual Bushfire Music Festival at “House on Fire” bar/club/outdoor concert venue in Malkerns. After setting up our tents at my friend Ian’s house on Friday afternoon, me and the other 15 people camping on his lawn walked the half mile to House on Fire and weaseled our way into a free VIP badge (that was me), free drinks, dark-chocolate-almond brownies and two mock-traditional Zulu beer pots made out of blue plastic (also me). It was a strangely feels-like-home experience, complete with LOTS of other Americans and tourists from all over the world who had come to see Johnny Clegg, Hip Hop Pantsula, Nana, Bolotja and other well-known artists from Southern Africa (which you should definitely check out, especially Bolotja).....The official party went until 4am on both Friday and Saturday nights, and all day Saturday and Sunday (except for the Saturday morning I spent at site announcement, which I write about later). The highlight of the whole festival was Johnny Clegg’s ridiculously enthusiastic (in a good way) performance on Saturday, followed promptly by torrential rains that ruined my shoes and drove several hundred people onto the tiny indoor dance floor. All things considered, it was an extremely expensive weekend (there were also lots of hand-made earrings for sale, too, which we all know I can’t resist) but completely worth it. Anybody want to join me next August for Bushfire 4? (I’m serious.)....

It's a cliche, but, icon Johnny Clegg - singer, song-writer, dancer, anthropologist, academic and activist - has certainly earned his stripes.
He has delighted his fans for more than three decades with his infectious blend of Zulu and Western music and energetic live shows, selling in excess of five million albums worldwide.
Known in France as "Le Zulu Blanc" - The White Zulu - Clegg enjoys a huge following in that country. Containing the largest ex-pat African community in the world, France still has strong economic and cultural ties with Africa.
"More than one million ex-pats live in France today," says Clegg, "so that could explain my huge following there. Saying that though, the French are such a culturally advanced nation. They have a genuine curiosity about other people and cultures, which sets them apart from the rest of the world."
Currently working on his latest album, due for release in February, Clegg is travelling between studios in SA and Brussels.
"This is the first time that I'm not doing everything on the album myself and there's been a lot of pressure. I'm used to being able to take my time and do things at my own pace, but with this album I've had to fit into everyone else's schedule. Even though my last album, One Life, wasn't a huge commercial success, I really enjoyed working on it because it came together slowly.
"I could sit and mull over the songs until they felt right to me and there was no pressure or deadlines.
"I'm excited about the new album, though. It's very close to my early stuff, but with an organic sound. And we've used an entire live band in studio, which is a first for me."
Sama
Clegg nabbed a Sama award for his One Life album, in 2007, for Best Adult Contemporary English Album.
Returning home on September 24, Clegg will perform in Durban that evening at the Mmino MusicMix.
"It's such an interesting platform for different cultures and backgrounds. I would really have liked to collaborate with some of the artists for the festival, but I just haven't had the time."
Meanwhile, he is also working on a 13-part TV series for SABC, due for release next year. Titled A Country Imagined, the series, which Clegg is presenting, looks at how landscapes shape communities and cultures and how reactions to landscapes affect expression, thereby shaping music and dance. Four episodes have already been filmed.
With a schedule this packed, how does he find time to unwind?
"As soon as I get to a hotel or come off a set I try to get three or four hours to myself to reflect and rest. The point where I am in life (he is 56) is a reflective one.
"As you get older you realise that everything is actually fundamentally simple. As a result my song-writing has become simpler and more sophisticated, and I feel a deep sense of accomplishment when I find the right base line or riff."
Clegg will receive a Kizo Heritage Award on Saturday.

Die Auslosung der Vorrunden-Gruppen für die WM-Endrunde 2010 in Südafrika am 4. Dezember in Kapstadt (18.00 Uhr MEZ) wird weltweit in 200 Länder übertragen und sorgt damit für eine Höchstmarke, wie der Internationale Fußball-Verband FIFA am Mittwoch mitteilte. Bei der Endrundenauslosung für die WM 2006 in Deutschland in Leipzig waren im Dezember 2005 lediglich 137 Länder zugeschaltet, insgesamt verfolgten damals 134,5 Millionen Zuschauer vor den Fernsehgeräten das Prozedere.
»Die Endrundenauslosung wird die Zuschauer weltweit in ihren Bann ziehen. Wir freuen uns, die 32 qualifizierten Länder endlich in Afrika zu begrüßen und sie am Rhythmus und der Energie unseres Kontinents teilhaben zu lassen. The Final Draw for the 2010 FIFA World Cup South Africa will take place in Cape Town on 4 December 2009 at the Cape Town International Convention Centre (CTICC).The entertainment lined up for the 90-minute live show will include the Soweto Gospel Choir, Beninoise singer-songwriter Angélique Kidjo and Johnny Clegg.
Among these popular stars will be sports personalities who will arrive in South Africa to attend the Final Draw to see whom and where the 32 qualified teams will be playing.
The event will be broadcast about 200 countries worldwide. “We are very proud to be a part of the Final Draw for the 2010 FIFA World Cup South Africa. It is an incredible opportunity,” said Beverly Bryer, founder and manager of the Soweto Gospel cCoir. The choir will perform alongside Johnny Clegg, a well-known campaigner against the injustice of apartheid in South Africa who has been instrumental in putting the new South Africa on the map.
“The FIFA World Cup Final Draw has developed into a major live show that is followed with great excitement by millions of people across the world. It will re-ignite the 2010 FIFA World Cup fever not just in the host country but also in the qualified countries, where excitement is mounting as we draw nearer to next year's FIFA flagship event,” said FIFA secretary general Jérôme Valcke, who will conduct the draw.
The South African Broadcasting Corporation (SABC) has been appointed by FIFA for the production of the Final Draw show, while HBS (Host Broadcasting Services) will deliver broadcast signals worldwide in its capacity as overall host broadcaster. After producing the Preliminary Draw in November 2007 in Durban and the draw for the FIFA Confederations Cup in November 2008 in Johannesburg, the SABC has again commissioned Combined Artists to produce the Final Draw.
“This Final Draw has all the ingredients to capture the imagination of the watching world. We look forward to finally welcoming the 32 qualifying countries to Africa to share in the rhythm and energy of our continent, and are certain that this event will provide the perfect prelude to Africa's first FIFA World Cup,” said Danny Jordaan, CEO of the FIFA World Cup Organising Committee.

The Soweto Gospel Choir, singer-songwriter Angélique Kidjo and Johnny Clegg will provide a star-studded line-up for the 2010 FIFA World Cup final draw in Cape Town on 4 December.
Sowetan reports that the 90-minute live show starting at 7pm will be held at the Cape Town International Convention Centre.
There will also be guest appearances by some of the biggest names in sport as they descend on South Africa for the eagerly anticipated Final Draw to decide whom and where the 32 qualified teams will be playing.
